Michaela Parnell joined Icon Ventures in 2019 as the director of investor relations and marketing, bringing ten years of experience in investor relations, fundraising and communications to our firm. In her role at Icon, Michaela provides support for our limited partners, develops new LP relationships and leads marketing communication efforts.

Before joining Icon, Michaela was the Associate Director of Investor Relations and Marketing at Longitude Capital, a very successful venture capital firm focused on the health care space. While there she played a key role in managing investor relations, the fundraising process and external communications. Prior to that, Michaela was a Senior Account Executive at MacDougall, a strategic business and communications consulting firm, where she developed and implemented investor relations programs for public and private companies. Previously, she was at the Trout Group, a boutique investor relations and strategic advisory firm.

Michaela began her career in the non-profit sector and has worked as a Development Associate at AmeriCares, a nonprofit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization, and as an Operations and Development Associate at Mercado Global, a non-profit fair trade organization that works with women artisans in Latin America.

Michaela holds B.A. in economics and international relations from William Smith College.
